Tell us your thesis.

We are taking five design partners. Each would receive the weekly list and tell us what they would pay for it. That is the whole exchange, and it is worth being clear that we are asking for something back rather than offering a free trial.

What each side gets

You would get five Louisiana commercial-services companies each Monday — HVAC, electrical, marine and industrial services — screened against the thesis you send us. Each one carrying a one-page brief, the filing that flagged it, and the name and role of the person who signs for the company on the public record.

We would get your honest reading of it: whether the companies matched what you asked for, which ones you would actually look at, and what you would pay for the list. List price is $500 a month. Design partners are not charged, and we would rather hear your number before you anchor to ours.

You can stop at any time and we would rather know why. Changing your thesis is expected rather than a problem — theses drift during a search, and a drifted thesis is the most common reason a sound brief feels wrong.

Send it to us

Email jalbellamoragil@tulane.edu. A paragraph is fine. You do not have to answer all of these.

What helps us screen

  • Parishes or regions, in order of preference. Louisiana is organized by parish, and so are the records we read.
  • Sub-sectors you want, from HVAC and mechanical, electrical, marine services, and industrial services.
  • Size range. Revenue band, and EBITDA or headcount if you will say. A range is fine.
  • Deal shape. Check size, SBA or cash, majority or minority.
  • Which records should we weight? For example succession notices, license lapses and non-renewals, commercial property transfers, UCC terminations, registered-agent or officer changes. We screen on what the record shows, not on what an owner intends, so tell us which records interest you rather than which mood.
  • Hard exclusions. Anything you will not look at, for any reason. This saves us both a wasted week.

The part we actually need

Your thesis, in your own words. One paragraph. The list above helps us screen; this is the part that tells us what you are really looking for. If you send nothing else, send this.

We will read every one and reply within three working days, whether or not we can screen against your thesis.

What we do with what you send is set out in what we never do. In short: we use it to screen, we never publish it, and we never name you.

Email us your thesis

There is no form on this page on purpose. We would rather send you to email than put your thesis through something we have not finished building.

What this is not

It is not a request for an introduction. Nothing you send us reaches a business owner, and nothing on this page asks us to approach one on your behalf. Contacting an owner is one of only two actions in this company that require a human signature, and it is not an action this website can start.

It is not a purchase. There is no payment on this site and nothing is charged.
